Helen joined Optibac in 2021 and works as our Digital Content Executive within the Digital Team, where she combines her expertise in nutrition with her talent for clear, engaging communication. She also lends her support to the Nutrition Team, acting as one of our trusted friendly bacteria experts.
A registered Nutritional Therapist, Helen gained her qualification from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition and has a particular interest in supporting female athletes. Her passion for this area led her to publish Eat Well Run Strong in 2021 — a practical and empowering guide to nutrition for women who run or want to start running, focused on fuelling performance and long-term health.
Helen’s writing has also been featured in the Institute for Optimum Nutrition’s magazine, where she continues to share insights rooted in science and real-world application. Her latest achievement is earning an MSc in Sport & Exercise Psychology, cementing her passion for female fitness with a dissertation on the psychological effects of menopause on female runners.
Outside of work, Helen leads by example — she’s a keen runner, enjoys open water swimming, weight training, and whipping up delicious meals in the kitchen. For Helen, great food and regular movement are the foundations of a healthy, balanced life.
